It is Christmas at Princeton- Plainsboro and Wilson and Tritter have a present for House. He has three days to accept the present. Wilson and Tritter want to make a deal with House. If house admits that he was wrong to illegally obtain Vicodin and goes into rehab for two months than House will not get any jail time. House gets livid at Wilson and says he did nothing wrong and goes searching for Dr. Cuddy. House finds Cuddy in a patient’s room. He meets her patient whom is dwarf named Abigail. Abigail has a number of things wrong with her and recently her lung collapsed. Cuddy does not realize the severity of Abigail’s illness and House decides to take the case over.

Alice is admitted into the hospital and House and the team begins on her case. Alice is a young patient who has pancreatic. Her divorced parents cannot agree on anything including how to help their child. House has no other choice than to take them to court and let the judge make the decision. Alice continues to worsen and once again House goes to the judge which in return gives guardianship to Dr. Cuddy. Dr. Cuddy must then decide what medical care is going to help Alice the most. Meanwhile, House asks Cuddy for some more Vicodin but instead of writing a prescription she decides to ration his pills.

Jack’s parents died leaving him to care for his younger brother and sister. House goes over Jack’s case and believes he has a diagnosis. He seals the information up in a envelope and hands it over to Cameron, Chase, and Forman to figure out on their own. Jack is then asked to make a choice that might tear apart his family. In the meantime Tritter is trying to cause problems between House and Wilson which makes it hard for Wilson to do his job.

The team starts running tests on him but have problems doing so because of his weight. The try the best they can to run tests but while they were in the middle of doing a MRI on George he wakes up and is thrown into disarray and fights to get away. George finally calms down and realizes that he is okay and wants to leave. Cameron realizes that George’s health might be in serious danger and fights to keep him in the hospital. George believes that his problems are due to his weight but House discovers a different diagnosis.

House decides to take on a new patient named Tracy Dawson. Tracy was brought to the rushed to the hospital because of problems breathing. Along with problems breathing, she complains of a terrible pain in her stomach. The team comes to find out that Tracy and her husband, Jeremy, have just been robbed. House runs a stress test on her and meanwhile Jeremy becomes sick while in the waiting and room and everyone cannot help to think that the couple’s sicknesses are connected. Tracy has visions about a past experience with Jeremy’s father who did not want the two to be together so he tried to hurt Tracy. House thinks that he might be able to diagnose her if he did a biopsy on her brain stem, but the Jeremy will not let him because it is too risky. Wilson tries but talk Jeremy into allowing it to be done but Jeremy keeps refusing. Suddenly a new symptom appears which shocks everyone and will change the couples life completely.

House than realizes that without his office he is lost and keeps sneaking off into other rooms and offices.
